THE TRADING POST & U.S. POST OFFICE

The Trading Post at Brentwood Country Mart has been a neighborhood fixture since 1948, when it first opened as Post Office Substation No. 1. To this day, it continues to provide a range of postal services—stamp sales, certified and priority mail, as well as printing, scanning, and copying—making it a convenient resource for the surrounding Brentwood, Santa Monica, and Pacific Palisades communities.

Alongside its post office, The Trading Post functions as a modern-day general store, offering thoughtfully made essentials from around the globe. Visitors will find an international newsstand stocked with esteemed publications, a selection of sundries, shipping supplies, and the Mart’s own line of merchandise, including the signature Brentwood Country Mart hat.
