sweet rose creamery

Sweet Rose Creamery is one of Los Angeles’ few homegrown ice cream shops, with small batches of handcrafted, organic ice cream made daily in our kitchen at the Brentwood Country Mart. A member of the Rustic Canyon Family, it was born out of partners’ Josh Loeb, Zoe Nathan, Colby Goff and Chef Shiho Yoshikawa’s dream to create delicious ice cream in a nostalgic setting. Zoe and Shiho first met while working together at San Francisco’s famed Tartine Bakery, where they both honed their dessert skills. In 2009, Zoe and Josh tapped Shiho to help open Huckleberry Bakery & Cafe, which led to them discussing their mutual desire to branch out into small-batch ice cream. Sweet Rose Creamery made its debut in 2010 at the Brentwood Country Mart and has another shop along Santa Monica’s beachside Main Street.

Over the years, Sweet Rose has gained acclaim for its homespun, frozen desserts and fun plays on market-driven flavors that make you feel like a kid again. Shiho and team are always inspired by what’s in season at the nearby Santa Monica Farmers’ Market, so new flavors pop up throughout the year featuring only the best organic and non-GMO ingredients. They’re one of the few ice cream shops that truly make everything from scratch, right down to the dairy base, waffle cones, toppings, mix-ins for flavors and more!

Delivering “small batches of happiness,” Sweet Rose Creamery Catering can also bring sweet treats to the office or home holiday celebrations, birthday parties and special events. Set-up options include ice cream party packs for smaller, DIY gatherings and a portable, vintage ice cream freezer or mobile ice cream cart staffed by the team for larger events. Other frozen novelty items include Ice Cream Cakes, Holiday Ice Cream Pies, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Guittard Chocolate-Dipped Bananas and more.
